full wave diode rectifier

full wave diode rectifier. In the previous post I was explained about diode working principle. In this post I will explain about how to make full wave diode rectifier and how does full wave rectifier works

I was explained in previous post that the diode can be used as a rectifier that is to change the AC current into DC

This time I will share how to make a full wave rectifier using a diode or kiprok

The diodes used can be silicon or kiprok diodes. Kiprok is basically 4 pieces of diode that put together so that it becomes more simple

How to make a full wave rectifier using diode?

How to make full wave rectifier? You can make a full-wave rectifier using 4 diodes by combining 4 pieces of diode into one or more often called a diode bridge

The following figure is a full wave rectifier circuit scheme

full wave diode rectifier

as you know that AC power is an electric current that has a direction and a large changeable

Please read the posts bellow

Positive and negative poles change position alternately. If you have equipment that requires DC current it can not be directly connected to the AC current source

To connect DC equipment to an AC current source then you need to make a sequence circuit

how does full wave rectifier works

how the full wave rectifier above work? When the AC current flows through the diode, wherever the location of positive and negative poles of the current source, the location of positive and negative poles of output remain the same and unidirectional

but you need to know that the current that comes out after passing the diode is not a flat DC current but the DC current is still wavy

To eliminate waves then you can add elco so it becomes as in the picture

If you wants electric current to be more stable you can add 7805, 7809, 7812 stabilizer circuit

The last two numbers represent the output voltage generated

For examples ic 7805 will produce 5V output, ic 7809 will produce 9V output, 7812 ic will produce 12V output

By making a circuit like above you can connect your DC equipment to an AC current source with the same voltage
